    Keisha Went currently serves as the Secretary for the Caribbean Association of Home Economists (CAHE) Inc. 1972. Keisha holds a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management (hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus, a Diploma in Education (Technical and Applied) from Barbados Community College a certificate in Guidance and Counselling from the U.W.I. Open Campus, Barbados and is a CVQ level 4 assessor. She has taught at The Lodge School in her native land for 14 years. During her tenure there she has participated and won many prizes in school and national events and conducted and facilitated workshops for her colleagues. She is a firm believer that one should be a lifelong learner and as such has engaged in many workshops and online courses to aid in her professional development. At this time, she is currently enrolled in a one academic and one professional course of study. She is conscientious, diligent, hardworking and dedicated individual who sees her role as an ambassador for Home Economics. She passionately advocates for its continued prominence in solving many societal ills. Evidence of this can be found in the Caribbean Home Economist 2018 in a poem penned by her entitled ‘Home Economics on the Map.’
